Dear Team TransCor,

On August 1, 2025, TransCor America will reach another significant milestone, having achieved 35 years of exceptional service in the private prisoner transportation industry. After 35 years, TransCor remains among the largest long-distance prisoner transportation companies in the nation. A special event will take place next Friday, August 1st, at CoreCivic’s Facility Support Center (FSC) in Brentwood, Tenn., to recognize this notable occasion.

On January 1, 1995, TransCor proudly became a wholly-owned subsidiary of CoreCivic (then Corrections Corporation of America). As the industry leader in private corrections management, CoreCivic is recognized for helping reshape the landscape of American corrections. The acquisition of TransCor, and subsequent designation of TransCor as CoreCivic’s primary prisoner/detainee/resident transportation provider, represented a strong level of confidence in TransCor and an ideal partnership. This partnership has broadened over the past 35 years and clearly characterizes the high level of confidence CoreCivic continues to entrust to TransCor.

Since our inception, TransCor has met many ambitious objectives and created a rich history of milestones. Although our business model has shifted to meet the needs of an ever-changing market, our vision, to always be the best private prisoner transportation company in the United States, is stronger today than it has ever been. I am entirely convinced that our proven success is directly tied to our core values and guiding principles;

  • Safety & Security;

  • Quality;

  • Accountability;

  • Service Driven;

  • Cost Effectiveness;

  • Teamwork;

  • Communication; and

  • Innovation.

These guiding principles empower our emploees and support our unwavering commitment and company motto; Performance Driven by Excellence.

As TransCor celebrates this anniversary milestone, we remain focused on providing a meaningful public service by operating the highest quality prisoner transportation company in the United States. Even more importantly, we remain deeply committed to our mission, to our company, and to our dedicated employees.

Happy 35th Anniversary!

Sincerely,

Curt Sullivan
