Memorial Day — A Day of Remembrance

Every year, the last Monday of the month of May is celebrated as Memorial Day — a holiday that means something a little different to everyone. For some, it’s simply a long weekend, the kickoff of summer, and time to spend with family and friends. For others, there is far a deeper meaning. 

Memorial Day is a very important day for the United States of America, as this is the day dedicated to the remembrance of all those who lost their lives while serving our country and protecting our freedoms. There is no greater sacrifice one can offer for our country and for each other — and it's important that we continue to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. To those of you who have family and friends who are veterans that have lost their lives defending this great and blessed land, we are deeply grateful.    

So as you enjoy this weekend, please take a moment of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those we have lost and all that we have because of them.
