Never Forget

Like so many, I am deeply saddened by the recent news of the deadly terrorist attack near the Kabul airport, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021. As we mourn the deaths of those killed, my thoughts and prayers are with my fellow veterans, service members, and their families and friends. It's important to also recognize the incredible sacrifice and dedication that the U.S. military and civilian personnel have made over the last two decades in Afghanistan. We will never forget those who gave that last full measure of devotion for their country, nor those whose lives have been immeasurably altered by wounds sustained, physically and mentally, in the service of our country.
