Looking Back on What's Changed — And What Hasn't — During a Historic Year

Dear Team TransCor,

Wishing you a very happy New Year!

As we near the close of 2020, I want to express my gratitude for your determined dedication, courage, and compassionate spirit during the past year.  If there was a catchphrase for 2020, my shortlist would certainly include "unprecedented," "uncertainty," and "hope."  In a year where our mission mattered more than ever and we faced extraordinary challenges — possibly the greatest we may experience in our careers or our lifetimes — your collective achievements were impressive and inspiring.

As we get ready to enter the New Year, it is a good time to look back at where we have come. Like most industries, we experienced some significant challenges and opportunities. Most noteworthy, was our ability to adapt to the changing environment created by COVID-19 while continuing to meet our customer's needs. Throughout 2020, we witnessed the impressive results of extremely hard work in the achievement of several milestones, including:

  • weathering the last nine months of the pandemic without loss of human life, without layoffs, and with nominal days lost due to quarantine or recovery;

  • the accelerated establishment and growth of our new field office in Cushing, Oklahoma;

  • the successful execution of more than 1.5 million transport miles;

  • the safe and secure transport of more than 58,000 inmates and detainees; and

  • the safe passage of more than 5,000 individual ground transports.

This year was also TransCor's 30th anniversary as an LLC.  Against the tumultuous events of 2020 and the ongoing evolution of the secure transportation industry, I'm reminded of the most important aspects of TransCor that remain unchanged: As members of the public safety community, our foremost calling remains to serve as agents of peace and safety — for our communities, one another, and those entrusted to our care. Our guiding principles keep us moving forward with Integrity, Respect, Trust and Loyalty.  Our unwavering drive and steadfast resourcefulness continue to prove our trusted value.  And, as always, the quality of our team is what keeps us known and respected as a leader in our industry. Against significant challenges, I'm extremely proud of your performance and continued commitment to excellence. Very well done!

In the same way, I am enthusiastic and determined to make the very best of the upcoming year. With our strong, motivated team working together, we will achieve new goals and create new opportunities.

Once again, on behalf of the entire Leadership Team, I wish you and your families a happy and successful 2021.

Please stay healthy and stay safe.
