Celebrating Women's History Month
Team TransCor,
March is Women’s History Month! This important occasion provides us an opportunity to celebrate and remember the great accomplishments of women throughout the world and an opportunity to inspire young women through both our history as well as with current woman leaders of our times. While it's vitally important to celebrate women all year long, Women’s History Month is also an opportunity to educate people about the powerful impacts women have made, throughout the years, on our culture and society. From science to politics, it’s a chance to reflect on the trailblazing women who lead the way for change. We often and rightfully highlight important historical figures like Susan B. Anthony, Amelia Earhart, Rosa Parks, and Maya Angelou, but it's also important to shine a light on the women making a powerful impact in our industry. In that spirit, let us recognize all former and current female employees that have helped shape our company. From Administrative Assistant, Analyst, Controller, Coordinator, Director, Manager, President (former), Senior Director, Supervisor, and Transportation Officer, TransCor has long benefited from the contributions and strong leadership of women. I'm proud to share that women represent thirty-nine (39%) percent of our current workforce. And it's because of their significant contributions that we remain an industry leader in private prisoner/detainee transportation.
"Every great dream begins with a DREAMER. Always remember, you have within you the STRENGTH, the PATIENCE, and the PASSION to reach for the stars to change the world"
— Harriet Tubman“Women should be celebrated every day, but a month dedicated to female empowerment is extremely special. It doesn't just honor the iconic women who have changed history but encourages new generations to dream big and know that anything is possible. All women are strong — in our own way — we must have confidence in ourselves and persevere through life."
— Meghan Olson, TransCor Senior Director, Human Resources
Please join me in celebrating and recognizing all women!
Sincerely,
