Courage and Communication in Corrections Transport During COVID-19

Dear TEAM TransCor,

Good afternoon! I hope this communication finds you well.

This is an extraordinary time. I believe the COVID-19 pandemic will stand out in history as a world-changing event. In the course of merely one month, governments around the world have taken steps to collectively combat the spread of this disease — changing what everyday life looks like for all us. In the face of this unprecedented situation, TransCor remains strongly committed to our employees while continuing to provide a high quality service to our customers and ensuring the safe, secure, and humane transportation to those entrusted to our care.

This pandemic drives home for me just how brave and dedicated our front line leaders and uniformed staff are as they continue to do exceptional work in support of CoreCivic and their federal and state partners. Make no mistakes, just like first responders, our uniformed staff are true heroes. Please thank them at every opportunity.

At a time when "business as usual" is not an option, we have and will likely continue to introduce temporary protocol changes and practices that best support our mission. Because of this, I strongly encourage each leader to communicate daily with their respective team members. No one really knows how long this will last, but we are positioned well and prepared for tomorrow and the days ahead. What I do know is that I have great confidence in each of you and our resolve as human beings.

Please remain focused on taking care of yourself and each other. My heart truly goes out to everyone around the world impacted, either directly or indirectly, by COVID-19. It's a moment for us all to come together as never before.

Personally, one of the things motivating me through this challenging time my family, my friends and you. You inspire me and I'm so grateful to be a part of this team. Thank you for your continued support during these uncertain times.
