Preparing for Increased Activity
Dear Team TransCor,
I hope you and your loved ones are doing well and that you had time to relax over this past Memorial Day weekend.
Thank you to those who took the opportunity to contribute stories and pictures of how you are living and working during these unprecedented times. Your stories and pictures were included in a Special Edition of The Road Report that was recently published on May 26th. If you haven’t already read the special edition, please take a few minutes to do so. It's well worth the read.
With respect to COVID-19, we remain highly focused on the safety of our employees and mitigating business risks in an ever-changing environment. To date, I'm very pleased to report that the number of TransCor staff personally impacted by the coronavirus has been for the most part very low. Our early actions and your focused attention to health and safety protocols are reflected in those low numbers. Operationally, we continue to monitor daily trip activity and manage interruptions of service based on partner need and/or direction.
Over the past three weeks there has been a measured increase of both trip activity and mileage. This is very encouraging news for TransCor and the industry. And although the national supply chain is experiencing understandable stresses, our PPE inventory is well managed and provided. At the same time, we are making initial plans for a phased reopening of the Central Office on June 15th. I look forward to seeing all of you soon. Please stay tuned for further details on this front via a separate announcement.
I think you would agree that the public safety profession attracts those who want to make a difference. Our transportation supervisors and officers have been on the front lines of this pandemic since the start. I could not be more proud of you and the difference you are making every day. I recognize and appreciate the commitment made to ensure the safe and secure transportation of those entrusted to our care. Thank you for ALL you do!
Please be safe and continue to take care of each other.
Sincerely,
Curt Sullivan
President, TransCor America
