One Year Later...

Dear Team TransCor,

One year after the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 breakout a global pandemic we are mindful of the significant impact it has had on all of us — personally and professionally. Balancing the strains of a normal lifestyle during any crisis is difficult in and of itself.  And while we recognize the challenges, I could not be more proud of your efforts during these unprecedented times. I’ve been inspired by the dedication, selflessness, and resilience demonstrated across our organization.

One of the most notable accomplishments has been our ability to continue providing uninterrupted transportation service to CoreCivic and their government partners throughout the pandemic. This has been nothing short of a heroic achievement, and I am so proud of the continued commitment to excellence demonstrated by our leaders in the field and our uniformed staff. Also inspiring has been the systematic and ongoing transition of employees assigned to the Central Office to work from home. As can be expected, there are significant technology challenges in transitioning to a temporary work-from-home model, ranging from adequate resources, information security and privacy requirements to ensuring continuity of services. I applaud the determined effort among all of our office staff and the collaborative partnership between supporting departments all while continuing to meet the operational needs of the organization. Well done!

As we move onward, as an organization the safety and wellbeing of our employees and those entrusted to our care will continue to remain our top priority.
