Saturday marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City; on the Pentagon; and on the plane that crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Never Forget

Like so many, I am deeply saddened by the recent news of the deadly terrorist attack near the Kabul airport, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021. As we mourn the deaths of those killed, my thoughts and prayers are with my fellow veterans, service members and their families and friends. It's important to also recognize the incredible sacrifice and dedication that the U.S. military and civilian personnel have made over the last two decades in Afghanistan.
